Description
“Touching the invisible” is a collection that Dorry Hsu first created alongside “Aesthetic of Fears”, Dorry’s Master”s Degree Project in the Royal College of Art, London. It is a collection of wearable objects which aims to recall emotional memories through touchiness. The formality of the object is challenged through the diversity of complexity of form. Through the immediate response of virtual modelling tools, she creates three-dimensional objects that reflect her memories of emotions. The objects carry the “haptic” character such as spikes and smooth balls and people can sense this haptic feeling by seeing the object. This project challenges the possibility of different printing materials, scales and the combination of traditional crafting techniques. This work has been exhibited and collected internationally, like Sussanah Lovis, Burlington Arcade London, Museum Cuypershuis, Netherlands and Harper”s Bazaar, China.
