The Bordados Vermeil Ring from the Bordados Collection by TANE is made in sterling silver with 23 karat yellow gold vermeil. The piece consists of two shiny silver rings that hold the floral embroidery that have been detached from the textile to, as if floating, shine with a vermeil finish. A delicate texture that reproduces the original embroidery created by the artisans of San Antonino Castillo Velasco, Oaxaca. Bordados by TANE is a dialogue between the value of what is handmade with cotton, and its immortalization in silver. A tribute to the creative work of women artisans and their role as guardians of our cultural heritage.
