Inspired by the melting icebergs in Antarctica and their effect on the wildlife living in the area, the Tear Emerald Ring took inspiration from nature, architecture, and calligraphy to create a minimalist yet metaphorical design. The Tear Emerald Ring depicts the moment when ice turns into water. The shape and structure of the designs took references from the antarctic animals’ skeletons, Parametricism architectures and Chinese calligraphy. Edward poetically created a design in a futuristic form and embedded it with heartfelt messages through the clever selection of materials and gemstones.

The Tear Emerald Ring is handcrafted using 100% recycled 18k rose gold. The diamond is natural and GIA-certified. It is ethically sourced and carefully selected by designer and founder Edward Xu, then set by hand in our London workshop with love and precision. This ring is tested and hallmarked by the London Assay office, and it features an open-ended design which allows you to adjust its size slightly.
